Comparative game

As you might already know, I like to use many games in my learning situations, since I have noticed that children´s motivation increases when playing. And they learn much more when their attitude is good. This time, they made individually sentences using comparative adjectives. Then, in groups, they chose some of them and the competition began! Were the sentences True or False?

Como puede que ya sepan, me gusta usar muchos juegos a lo largo de las situaciones de aprendizaje, puesto que la motivación de los niños aumenta cuando se les enseña jugando. Y aprenden mucho más cuando su actitud es positiva. En esta ocasión, los niños, de manera individual, construyeron frases usando comparativos. Luego, en grupo, eligieron algunas de todas las que tenían y la competición comenzó! Las frases eran True or False?

Mannequin challenge

As you might know, the Mannequin challenge is nowadays a very popular video in social media people are making all over the world. Our children were anxious to make one. And here are two of them. I hope you enjoy them.

Como tal vez sepan, el Mannequin challenge está de rabiosa actualidad en las redes sociales. Nuestros chicos estaban ansiosos por hacer uno. Y aquí tenemos dos de ellos. Espero que los disfruten mucho.

Lapbook and blog

Creating our own personal lapbook seems to like the children a lot. They found it entertaining. When they take it home, they will be able to remember what we are learning at school. And we also visited the blog and posted some comments. Their reactions when they saw themselves and their mates in the pictures taken two years ago was very funny!

Hacer nuestro propio lapbook parece ser una actividad que les gusta mucho. Los niños la encuentran muy entretenida. Cuando lo lleven a casa podrán recordar lo que están aprendiendo en el colegio. También visitamos el blog y comentamos algunas entradas. Fue muy divertivo observar sus reacciones cuando se vieron a sí mismos y a sus compañeros en las fotos que saqué hace dos años. 

Museum

My soul mate

Another communicative game children seem to love: each of them has a half of a picture. The aim is to find the other half and complete the picture by describing the one they have, without showing it, giving as many details as possible. Are you my soul mate?

Otro de los muchos juegos comunicativos que tenemos en el aula. Cada uno tiene la mitad de un dibujo. El objetivo es encontrar la otra mitad de cada dibujo, sin mostrarlo, sólo describiendo a su compañero o compañera la mitad que tienen en su mano, dando cuantos más detalles mejor. ¿Eres mi media naranja?

Lapbook

As you may know, during this school year we´ll be making a lapbook every term in order to remember what we are learning and practicing. Children are reflecting through different activities what we implement in every learning situation. And they do like so much  creative activities...

Tal vez ya sepan que durante el curso iremos trabajando en un lapbook por trimestre con la finalidad de plasmar lo que aprendemos y practicamos. De este modo, los niños también reflexionan sobre lo que van adquiriendo en cada situación de aprendizaje. Además les encanta todo lo que involucre su creatividad. Aquí les adjunto algunas fotos de sus primeras contribuciones al lapbook.
